AUDITION

for Chorus Angelorum

Audition Process

Interested singers of all voice parts are asked to submit a resume and sound clip to be considered for an audition. Applicants must have significant choral experience and an advanced understanding of music theory. Second round auditions will take place in person. Applicants will be notified of specific audition dates and locations on an individual basis.

Apply Online

Please submit the following information to audition@chorusangelorumchatt.com:

  1. Your musical resume - degrees, previous choral experience, other instrumental study, etc.

  2. A brief statement describing why you would be a good fit for Chorus Angelorum.

  3. A sound clip demonstrating what you feel is your best performance (solo recording preferred.)

Live Audition

Applicants will be contacted via email to be notified whether they have been invited to audition. The audition process consists of:

  1. A prepared piece of the applicant's choice; any language or style is acceptable. An accompanist will be provided.

  2. A short workshop on the prepared piece with the Artistic Director and select senior members of the ensemble.

Full Rehearsal Participation

Applicants that receive a live audition are also asked to attend rehearsal on the day of their audition. Rehearsal participation consists of:

  1. One prepared choral work.

  2. One sight-read choral work.

  3. A conversation with the ensemble and Artistic Director about your experience and personal goals.
