Chorus Angelorum Chattanooga is a sixteen person ensemble comprised of several of the area's best amateur and professional vocalists. The ensemble was formed in early 2020 with the intent of safely providing online choral concerts, both sacred and secular, during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Even as things have returned to normal, Chorus Angelorum continues to fill a vital role in the Chattanooga Arts community by providing free concerts, both live and online.

Chorus Angelorum and Christ Church Episcopal Chattanooga present a traditional Service of Nine Lessons and Carols - a beloved Advent celebration that traces the story of humanity’s redemption from Creation to the coming of Christ.

 

Drawing on the form established at King’s College, Cambridge in 1918, the service interweaves scripture, choral anthems, and congregational carols, inviting all to share in reflection, hope, and joy at the nearing of Christmas.
